INSPIRATION & VISION
Since 2015 My artistic practice aims to amalgamate analogic and virtual objects simultaneously. At the first stage, I use classical painting techniques to create voxels intentionally repetitive and graphically wrench to reflect abstractly human nature. Then through the appropriation of a universal ordinary object – mobile devices – to use as a medium to decode the visual patterns built analogically moved by uneasiness and dissatisfaction, on my urgency to collide two discrepant entities. The lens triggers the metamorphosis of the physical medium unveiling the digital sculptures in Augmented Reality by Artmented an app crafted in-studio for this practice-based research. The practice proposes to open up a whole new world, which will be remarked by the 4th Industrial Revolution and the adoption of new media experience by the interlocutor.
The 3D computer graphics activated through Augmented Reality empowers the public sensations and stimulates them to reach personal perceptions. The artwork is entirely created by Raquel from the first sketch until the AR extension and the app medium.
Did it exhaustively, exploiting the digital inevitability, creating connections between each piece through art and technology. Aiming to improve the viewer’s outlook on a questionable, dystopic and surreal world, beyond the existence of the virtual object. The works expose the discrepancy between the analog and the virtual by fusing these divergent universes on art expression form. The artworks immediately arouse the viewer’s interest and surprisingly turns into an explosion of sublime-emotions once these worlds are displayed to the viewerby The Artmented App in which it had the first release in 2014. Pushing the boundaries of contemporary art, engaging demographics for innovative use of technology and its invention of a new word aesthetics, empowering the public to get them closely of the narrative beyond the digital a disruptive concept that challenges the industry to adopt new operational tactics.
